Description A Brumby stallion is considered a feral Australian mountain horse. Located for the most part in the northern territory around the Australian Alps. You have your Quarter horse built for speed, Arabian horse for show, Clydesdale for braun and then there is the Brumby, a mix of various breeds that can be considered the athlete or decathlete in the horse family. The muscle and girth thats developed in order to survive in the mountain landscape.
Kevin Meredith, Denver Member Since January 2013 Artist Statement From my childhood spent on a farm in the Midwest thru my years of academia at the University of Kansas School of Fine Arts to present, I continue to refine my craft in the world of fine arts. My inspirational point in painting is to tell a story, capture a memory, real or imagined. To create something that might move your spirit and stir in you that same passion by which I am driven. A couple American artist masters that embodied this approach in their life time of work were Homer Winslow and of coarse Norman Rockwell. There are many others but these artists are my favorite. Their use of color and an ability to convey emotion thru the stroke of the brush.
Thanks for visiting and my hope is that in some way my work moves you.
